After the Crystal Palace, Hyde Park 1851
GOAL
First to 20 points. Place artifacts on the glass caps to score each turn.
THE BOARD
The Crystal Palace sits on a 9x7 plinth. The outer ring is the walkway. The inner 5 rows of glass are exhibition halls β their caps score 1, 2, or 4 points per turn each.
STONES
5 per player on the outer ring. Each stone carries an artifact (shown as a glowing gem).
RUN
Roll in a straight line. Land on an enemy stone to capture it. Roll onto an enemy artifact while empty to steal it.
PLACE
Stand on a glass cap while carrying β click Place Artifact. Your artifact scores each turn at the cap's level.
LASER
Select a stone, then press Fire Laser (L). Red markers show laser targets β tap one to fire. Laser passes through friendly territory and is blocked by enemy glass. If the enemy stone carries an artifact, the artifact absorbs the shot (destroyed). If the stone is empty, it is eliminated permanently.
CAPTURE
Land on an enemy stone β they are eliminated permanently. If you are empty, you steal one of their board artifacts.
REGROW
An empty stone can use its turn to Regrow instead of moving. No free regrows β the world is tough.
PASSAGE
The central ridge has portals at the left and right. Enter one and exit the other in one move.
